So I bought a new 4-1 exhaust set from Motad with Nexxus muffler, street legal but loud enough so people know I am there. Then took to the dude, who delivered it after a week and whose first comment was: "the carbs were a mess, I don't know how it could even start". 1 cylinder didn't fire, another had so much gasoline into it that the engine was running on 2,5 cylinders so to say.
After changing oil and filter, brake fluids, wheel alignment, carburetor rejet, new high flow air filter from K&N, new iridium spark plugs, replacing some missing bolts that made the fairing shake like a bitch, a work on the clutch and other stuff, this thing is now a rocket. Put an upgraded Zergling beside and it won't keep up. Put the OP upgraded Banshee or, even worse, the Shuttle beside, they will eat dust. It is now a Stage 2 mechanized horse ready to take me to Katowice for WCS as soon as I finish some other stuff. Hopefully I will have everything ready for the travel until then. Oh, yes, did I mention how comfortable this little 600cc is? My Harleys are jealous.
Yes, a lot of aesthetic work ahead, need to get new mirrors,. some turn light lenses, retouch the paint. But for nearly everything the horse is ready. I'm glad to have saved it from the previous owner, it wouldn't survive another winter without any care.
Below we see the Motad exhaust, the swing arm clear on the left (much easier to clean the chain without that crap 4-2), and and overall view of the Vulture 2.0.
